Gregor Benedetti was born and raised in downtown Manhattan, New York City.

Creating something out of nothing came naturally to him from a young age, whether it be sketching stories, painting wildlife or constructing elaborate paper dioramas. He drew a lot of his early inspiration from comics, cartoons and nature.

What sparks that “a-ha” moment when he realizes he’s on to something? “My heart starts to beat really fast; my mind goes a million miles a moment and my feet start thumping” he admits.

He graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a BFA in Illustration and later graduated from the School of Visual arts with an MFA in Digital Art & Animation.

He moved to San Fransisco and worked in the casual online and tabletop gaming industry for a while before landing a product designer role at Hallmark Cards, Inc. in 2012. There he’s furthered his artistic stye and and developed his own line of original collectible creations enjoyed by many fans over the years. In 2019 he joined the Keepsake Studio within Hallmark officially making him a brand ambassador for the company, traveling the country participating in various artist singing events. As a senior designer he’s also has the opportunity to work on a plethora of product for other popular licensed brand collaborators such as Disney, Warner Bros. Marvel, DC, Sega and Hasbro.

He currently lives in Chicago gaining new insights and inspirations from its diverse urban culture and loving it.
